About Me
My name is Peter Cole. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wife Susan and son Justin. I’m just a guy with a lot of opinions who knows a lot of interesting people and likes to write. I was a communications major at Cal and took many journalism courses, with the intention of becoming a professional writer. But some time during college two things happened that changed my career path: 1) I realized that print journalists don’t make a lot of money (unless they get to a really big paper or magazine), and 2) I discovered computers, thanks in part to the Mac SE my dad bought me. (Thanks Dad!) Fast forward to today, and blogging has given me the chance to combine my love of computing with my love of writing, which never went away despite my abandoning journalism as a career. So hopefully I can live up to my tagline and make the web a better place, one post at a time.
